Principal’s News – 27 October 2017

As we move into the new term, Year 12s are completing their final days of formal classes in VCE, VET and VCAL. I am sure you join me in wishing them well for the future.

Mr Guido Piotti led the process for the election of the 2018 College Leaders. The full list is included within the Newsletter and the team is pictured below with Mr Nick Wakeling MP and Mr Kim Wells MP. I would like to announce the College Captains for 2018 as William Morrison (11OS) and Jude Islip (11PR).

We welcomed back the Japan Immersion Group. This has been a significant opportunity for students and staff which resulted in developments in language, cultural and historical awareness. I thank Mr Andrew Cooper for his overall leadership being very well-supported by Mrs Vivienne Egan and Mr Graeme Tucker.

I would like to acknowledge Mr Dean Holden for his service to the College over many years and wish him all the best in his new role at Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak. Dean has been instrumental in developing our ICT provision within the College.

We pray for Mr Graeme Tucker and his family. Graeme’s mother, Lynette Tucker, died recently.

Ms Cathy Livingston
